Instructions
filling
  1. Place the filling ingredients, except the semolina into a saucepan
  2. Bring to the boil and thicken with semolina, adding only half of this at a time
  3. Cook for a few minutes
pastry
  1. Sieve the flour, rub in the butter and bind with eggs yolks and water
  2. (the pastry will will keep for a few days, wrapped in a plastic bag in the refrigerator)
  3. divide the pastry into 6 pieces and roll out one piece at a time
  4. Shape into a rectangle and out of this cut individual rectangles (10 cm wide, 18 cm long)
  5. Take a dessert spoonful of the stuffing and shape it into a sausage shape, as thick as an outsize finger and as long as the pastry rectangle
  6. Use semolina, sprinkled on the board to help you to shape it
  7. Put the treacle "sausage" in the center of one of the rectangles and fold the pastry over it. There is no need to dump the edges
  8. Now bring the two ends of pastry together to form a ring
  9. Sprinkle the baking trays with semolina
  10. Put each ring on the baking tray
  11. With a sharp knife slash the pastry in about six different places
  12. Lift the pastry with the point of the knife so that the stuffing shows through
  13. Bake in a moderate oven (about 180°) for about 20 min or until pastry is barely coloured
  14. Enjoy!
