Chickpeas Falafel is a traditional dish of the Middle Eastern tradition. These vegan patties are served with hummus, thaini sauce (Vegan) or with tzatziki sauce.
They can be eaten as an appetizer or as a main dish, served with vegetables or salad. They are also great in sandwiches or as a filling for pitas gyros.
If you decide to make these patties you anticipate that the dried chickpeas must be soaked for about 24 hours

Instructions
  1. Put the chickpeas to soak for about 24 hours, must drain well and blend with onion, garlic, parsley and extra virgin olive oil in a food blender. Then add the cumin, the bicarbonate and salt.
  2. If the mixture is too soft, you can add flour. Before proceeding to the creation of Falafel, you must leave the mixture in the refrigerator for a few hours.
  3. Prepare the patties (round or mashed, as you prefer) and put to heat the seed oil in a frying pan
  4. Fry the chickpeas falafel until they become golden and serve
Recipe Notes

If you want to eat lighter falafel we suggest you to cook the patties in the oven for about 20-25 minutes
